The typical individual can easily learn to dive, but they must also deal with psychological concerns along the way. Going below the ocean’s surface is not a natural process, but once you become a licensed open water diver, you have something unique that will fuel a lifetime of adventure and wonder.
Once you get your Open Water certification, you can plan and perform dives independently with a certified companion, diving to depths of up to 18 meters (60 feet) without professional supervision.
If you want to develop your skills, become a more confident diver, and embark on new adventures, the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is an excellent choice!
PADI Open Water Divers are capable of organizing and carrying out dives with a qualified buddy or dive professional to a maximum depth of 18 meters (60 feet). PADI Scuba Divers may only dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters/40 feet with the direct supervision of a PADI Professional.
Open Water Diver certification indicates that the diver is competent to dive in unrestricted water, subject to varied conditions, and that their competency is specifically confined to diving in open water with free access to the surface.
On average, the answer is no more than four. On day visits, the average number of dives is two or three.
Only divers with specific training, such as those holding a PADI Self-Reliant Diver certification, should contemplate diving alone. The Self-Reliant Diver Specialty course emphasizes safety methods and concerns for minimizing the danger of diving alone, as well as how to plan and prepare for self-redundancy.
Students will have two chances to get a score of 75 percent or above on the Final Exam. If the second attempt fails, students are instructed to meet with their instructor to examine any content they do not understand.
